Storm Damage Roofing Services in the Atlanta Metro Area
Georgia storm season is not forgiving. Hail, wind, and falling debris can compromise a roof that looks fine from the ground. The bigger problem for most homeowners is not the damage itself -- it is navigating an insurance claim process designed to minimize what you get paid. We document damage accurately, work directly with your adjuster, and make sure your claim covers what your policy actually allows. We serve the Atlanta metro area

What We do

Damage Documentation
We inspect your roof after a storm and document every issue and structural concern with photos and a written report, providing the evidence your claim depends on.

Adjuster Coordination
We’ll meet your adjuster on-site. Leveraging our personal relationships with local adjusters, we advocate directly to make sure nothing in your claim is missed.

Accurate Scope of Work
Insurance companies write scopes that sometimes leave out necessary work. We review the adjuster's report and supplement where the scope is incomplete.

Repair or Replacement
Once the claim is settled, we do the work. Same GAF-certified team, same standards, same warranties as any other 28 Residential project.

Why This Is Different With 28 Residential
Storm chasers show up after every major weather event in Atlanta. They sign you up fast, take a deposit, and disappear when the claim gets complicated or the payout is less than expected. We are a permanent Atlanta company. We do not chase storms. We serve the neighborhoods we live in, and we are here before the storm and after it.

No Inflated Claims. No Games.
We document what is actually there and advocate for what your policy covers. We do not inflate damage reports or play games with adjusters. That approach protects you legally and gets claims settled faster. Honest documentation is better for everyone except contractors who need an inflated scope to make their margins work.

Storm and Insurance Claims FAQ
1. What should I do first after a storm damages my roof?
Call us before you call your insurance company. We send a dedicated insurance representative to your property to document damage and assess your claim potential at no charge. This gives you accurate evidence going into the claim and significantly increases your approval chances. If there is active water entering your home, take photos of everything and call us at 404-530-9150. We can be on-site quickly to document and stabilize.
2. Do I need to file the insurance claim before I call you?
No, and we recommend the opposite. You can file first if you want -- it will not hurt anything -- but calling us first means we document the damage before the claim is open. That documentation strengthens your position and reduces the chance the adjuster minimizes the scope. If you file without documentation, you go into the process without your strongest evidence.
3. How do you work with insurance adjusters?
We are on-site when your adjuster comes out. We know most of the adjusters working the the Atlanta metro area personally -- we call them directly when we know who has been assigned, schedule the site visit, and walk the roof with them to make sure everything we documented is in front of them. After the adjuster's report comes back, we review it line by line. If the scope leaves out necessary work, we supplement it with documentation. Accurate scope is what gets claims settled fastest.
4. What if my insurance company denies the claim?
Denials are not always final. We assess your claim potential before you file, and if the evidence is weak we tell you upfront rather than waste your time. If a claim gets denied and we believe the denial is based on documentation gaps, we re-submit with additional evidence. We have re-submitted claims multiple times and gotten them approved when the evidence was solid. We do not represent you in legal disputes -- for that you may need a public adjuster or attorney -- but we make sure you understand what happened and what your options are.
5. How long does the insurance claim process take?
Most roof claims in the the Atlanta metro area settle in three to six weeks from initial filing to approved scope. Simple claims with clear damage move faster. Complex claims involving multiple damage events, supplements, or disputes can take two to three months. We help keep the process moving by responding quickly to adjuster requests and providing documentation when needed. Once the claim is approved and you are ready to schedule, we can typically begin the repair or replacement within one to two weeks.
6. Will my insurance rates go up if I file a roof claim?
It depends on your insurance company, your claim history, and the cause of damage. Storm-related claims are generally treated differently than wear-and-tear claims, and a single weather-related claim is less likely to trigger a rate increase than multiple claims over a short period. Your insurance agent is the right person to ask about rate impact for your specific policy. We can help you assess whether the damage is worth filing on, but the rate decision is between you and your carrier.
7. Do you charge anything to inspect my roof for storm damage?
No. Storm damage inspections are free with no obligation. We climb the roof, document any damage we find, and give you a written assessment of what we see. If there is no damage, we tell you that. If there is damage, we walk you through what it means and what your options are. There is no pressure to file a claim or to hire us for the work.
8. What if my deductible is more than the damage cost?
It happens, and it affects whether filing makes financial sense. Some homeowners are now carrying deductibles as high as $10,000 to $12,000 -- which can be close to or exceed the total repair cost. In that case, filing a claim does not make financial sense. We can quote the repair directly and you pay out of pocket for less than you would lose to the deductible. If the damage is borderline, we walk through the numbers with you. The goal is for you to make the right call for your situation.
